What is typhoid?
It’s a bacterial disease that’s highly contagious – faecal-oral transmition, via poor sanitation, poor hygiene, and contaminated food and drink. You can carry typhoid without developing symptoms, but the most common symptoms you should look out for include:
- high temperature and fever
- severe headache
- achy muscles
- fatigue
Without fast treatment, typhoid can be fatal.
