5 Facts You Should Know Before Travelling to Thailand

1. You need vaccines
Consider getting the following vaccines for your trip:

2. Take a tummy kit
Thai food is simply glorious, but you should pack a kit in your luggage in case you suffer from traveller’s diarrhoea.
3. Beware of the heat
Temperatures in Thailand can reach up to 40ºC in the summer months, so make sure that you pack a hat, sunglasses and a high-factor sunscreen.
Hydration is also important – drink plenty of water and avoid the midday sun.
4. Take care on the beach
Thai beaches are some of the best in the world, but they pose dangers too:
- check boats have life rafts
- take buoyancy aids, especially for children
- wear foot protection on the sands.
5. Be cautious with sexual health
Thailand has a notorious sex tourism industry – you need to be wary of sexual health risks. Always use protection and get a sexual health screening before and after your trip.
